After practicing for 14 years in Athens, he has moved his practice and surgery center to neighboring Oconee county.

During his residency, Dr. Parker enjoyed the complexities and challenges of the plastic and reconstructive surgeries he performed and made the decision to specialize in plastic surgery. His practice focuses on cosmetic surgery such as breast augmentation, abdominoplasty and facial rejuvenation as well as reconstructive procedures including breast reconstruction and breast reduction. His patients describe him as down-to-earth, easy to talk to and honest and caring. He and his team are committed to making each patient the center of their plastic surgery experience.

Dr. Parker completed his undergraduate studies at Tulane University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He moved back to Kansas where he received his medical degree from The University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at both Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham and the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He returned to the University of Kansas Medical Center where he completed his plastic surgery post graduate work.

Before beginning private practice, Dr. Parker traveled to Guatemala as part of a volunteer medical team. He donated his time and surgical skills repairing cleft lips and palates on those who did not have access to the specialized medical care they needed. Dr. Parker describes this trip as being one of his most rewarding experiences and hopes to return one day.
