Feminine Health in Athens

Labiaplasty

A number of vaginal issues can occur over the course of a woman’s lifetime and can cause feminine health issues. Looseness, dryness, enlarged or asymmetrical labia, and urinary incontinence are all problems that women may experience over time. The aging process, genetics, weight fluctuations, and childbirth can all cause these types of problems.

If you are experiencing any of these issues, labiaplasty may be the answer you’ve been looking for. Our options include ThermiVA and labiaplasty.

ThermiVA

ThermiVA is a non-invasive and non-surgical way to rejuvenate vaginal tissues and is good for your feminine health. This state-of-the-art solution treats urinary incontinence, vaginal laxity, and vaginal dryness. ThermiVA treatments can also enhance vaginal sensitivity in order to increase sexual satisfaction.

It involves the use of radiofrequency energy to heat the vaginal tissues, causing new collagen and elastin proteins to grow. With more collagen and elastin, the tissues experience better blood flow and are strengthened and tightened, restoring their overall health. Nerve tissue is regenerated, enhancing sensitivity.

The treatment process takes around 30 minutes. It involves the use of a wand-like device that emits radiofrequency energy. The wand is held over the labia to treat the outer tissues and can also be placed into the vaginal canal to treat the inner tissues. There should not be any pain, only a warming sensation.

Following treatment, patients can continue their daily tasks as normal without any downtime. Initial results can be seen after a single treatment, and these improve gradually as collagen and elastin continue to be produced in greater amounts. Three treatments are typically required. One maintenance treatment per year is recommended to help preserve your results.

Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is a surgical solution for labia that are asymmetrical, discolored, loose, or larger than the patient would like. Because it is a surgical option, its results are long-lasting. It is also able to dramatically rejuvenate the appearance of the region.

The labiaplasty procedure takes about one hour to complete, depending on the amount of tissue to be removed and reshaped. It starts with the administration of local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. The anesthesia will ensure that you are comfortable and free of pain for the duration of your labiaplasty.

Once the anesthesia has taken effect, very small incisions are made. With the help of these incisions, excess skin and fat are carefully removed, and the labia are reshaped according to your aesthetic and functional goals. When the procedure is complete, the incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures and then dressed.

The more invasive nature of the procedure means that it requires some recovery time. While your full recovery process will take around three months, the majority of the healing will take only three to six weeks. You may be able to return to work two to five days after the surgery. Avoid strenuous activities for at least three weeks, and avoid intercourse for three to six weeks.
